Polaris Rising ARC Giveaway!

ARC Giveaway Graphic

Book two has been sent off to my beta readers for initial feedback, so I’m free of the deadline cave for a little while. To celebrate, I’m giving away three signed ARCs (advance reading copies) of Polaris Rising! See below for details on how to enter!

Here is the back cover copy. If you’ve seen the galley copy, this will look very, very familiar.

Polaris Rising Cover A space princess on the run and a notorious outlaw soldier become unlikely allies in this imaginative, sexy space opera adventure—the first in an exciting science fiction trilogy.

In the far distant future, the universe is officially ruled by the Royal Consortium, but the High Councillors, the heads of the three High Houses, wield the true power. As the fifth of six children, Ada von Hasenberg has no authority; her only value to her High House is as a pawn in a political marriage. When her father arranges for her to wed a noble from House Rockhurst, a man she neither wants nor loves, Ada seizes control of her own destiny. The spirited princess flees before the betrothal ceremony and disappears among the stars.

Ada eluded her father’s forces for two years, but now her luck has run out. To ensure she cannot escape again, the fiery princess is thrown into a prison cell with Marcus Loch. Known as the Devil of Fornax Zero, Loch is rumored to have killed his entire chain of command during the Fornax Rebellion, and the Consortium wants his head.

When the ship returning them to Earth is attacked by a battle cruiser from rival House Rockhurst, Ada realizes that if her jilted fiancé captures her, she’ll become a political prisoner and a liability to her House. Her only hope is to strike a deal with the dangerous fugitive: a fortune if he helps her escape.

But when you make a deal with an irresistibly attractive Devil, you may lose more than you bargained for . . .

  1. I’m currently reading the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas, and I’m really enjoying all of the books so far (partway through book 4 right now).

  2. I just finished The Bone Doll’s Twin by Lynn Flewelling and now can’t wait to read the remaining books in her Tamir Trilogy!

I’ve also been loving pretty much anything written by Rebecca Gable. She mostly writes historical novels (not romance though) set in England in the late middle ages, and they are absolutely amazing.

  3. One of my favorites is The Slave Dancer by Paula Fox. I read this book many, many years ago as a child and it had a profound impact on me. It’s one of those books that stays with you long after you’ve finished it.

  4. I extremely enjoyed The Poison Study by Maria Snyder. It is a great fantasy world with great conflict. I really enjoyed the character development and growth.

  5. One of my favorite books is Neuromancer by William Gibson. I first read it in high school and revisit it every so often. The world building and characters are fantastic.

  6. I would like to recommend The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells.
The way she gives a voice to a self aware security bot and it’s comments on working with humans is fantastic.

  7. Tsumiko and the Enslaved Fox it was like reading an anime and i loved every minute of it. Thank you Ilona Andrews for recommending it.

  8. I just finished Magic Triumphs by Ilona Andrews after rereading everything in the Kate Daniels universe. I love that series so much and in fact, one of IA’s blog posts turned me into the Queens Gambit when you were posting it!

  9. Currently on my bedside table, where I keep my ‘actively reading’ books are:-
    1. Magic Triumphs by Ilona Andrews – Wow!
    2. After it Happens series by Devon C Ford – I’m on book 5.
    3. Elemental Assassin series by Jennifer Estep – Also on book 5 as I keep alternating between the two series because I don’t know which one I like best!
    4. Finally a copy of Stig of the Dump by Clive King, which is the first book I ever bought with my own pocket money and I found my Mum had kept in a cupboard for decades. Love the adventures of Barney and Lou!

  10. I loved Stephanie Burgis’ “Snowspelled” and the prequel “Spellswept” from the Underwater Ballroom Society collection. Wonderful worldbuilding.

  11. I really enjoyed Caraval and Legendary by Stephanie Garber. Can‘t wait to read Finale, the third and final book in the Caraval series. I also look forward to reading Polaris Rising.
