Chaos Reigning ARC Giveaway!

ARC Flash Giveaway. Enter to win one of three ARCs! Three days only!

Most of my Chaos Reigning ARCs are trapped in the HarperCollins building while all of the employees are working from home. But my lovely editor arranged for a few extras they had on hand to be shipped to me so that I can give them away to you all!

Because it’s so close to release, this is going to be a much shorter giveaway than usual—just three days—and even then you probably won’t receive the book before release. Hopefully the wait will be worth it. :)

See below for details on how to enter, but first, may I tempt you with some delicious preorder bonuses?

Print Preorder Bonus! A picture of the four different bookplate designs as well as the button and bookmark. While supplies last, at participating bookstores.

If you want to support an independent bookstore and get some additional swag, including a bookmark, badass space princess button, and bookplate signed by yours truly, then you can preorder a print copy of CR from The Ripped Bodice, Love’s Sweet Arrow, or Mysterious Galaxy, while supplies last. Last I heard (see below for updates!), they each had about 15-20 preorders remaining, but you can probably contact them if you want to be really sure you’ll get the bonus items.

UPDATE 5/12 4:36PM: The Ripped Bodice is down to less than five, so get your orders in fast!

UPDATE 5/13 3:08PM: Mysterious Galaxy has also agreed to include preorder swag! They have 15-20 preorders remaining!

If you prefer to buy the ebook or the print book elsewhere, I’ve got you, too. I’ll send you a bookmark and sticker, and international readers are included, as long as USPS delivers first class mail to your country. More details later this week!

CHAOS REIGNING cover. A woman with dark, curly hair, in a long leather coat, facing left and holding a blaster. The background is an alien landscape with a planet and two moons in the sky and everything is shaded green-blue.

Interplanetary intrigue and romance combine in this electrifying finale to the Consortium Rebellion trilogy.

As the youngest member of her High House, Catarina von Hasenberg is used to being underestimated, but her youth and flighty, bubbly personality mask a clever mind and stubborn determination. Her enemies, blind to her true strength, do not suspect that Cat is a spy—which makes her the perfect candidate to go undercover at a rival House’s summer retreat to gather intelligence on their recent treachery.

Cat’s overprotective older sister reluctantly agrees, but on one condition: Cat cannot go alone. Alexander Sterling, a quiet, gorgeous bodyguard, will accompany her, posing as her lover. After Cat tries, and fails, to ditch Alex, she grudgingly agrees, confident in her ability to manage him. After all, she’s never found a person she can’t manipulate.

But Alex proves more difficult—and more desirable—than Cat anticipated. When she’s attacked and nearly killed, she and Alex are forced to work together to figure out how deep the treason goes. With rumors of widespread assaults on Serenity raging, communications down, and the rest of her family trapped off-planet, Catarina must persuade Alex to return to Earth to expose the truth and finish this deadly battle once and for all.

But Cat can’t explain why she’s the perfect person to infiltrate hostile territory without revealing secrets she’d rather keep buried…

  1. Enjoying daily walks w the pup now that the weather has improved, with a good book and snuggly pup in the evening by the fire :)

  2. Aside from my daily walks, which keep me SANE, I’ve also been really enjoying the series “Tales from the Loop” on Amazon Prime :-)

  3. I enjoyed a modified game of fetch with my cat. It goes like this: I throw the toy(the jingly ball is popular, so is the tiny “potato sack”), Mr. Wizard runs after it and looks at me expectantly. I then walk down the hall, throw it from there and we repeat. Occasionally I up the difficulty by using show boxes as hurtles for him to jump and me to try not to trip over. Continue until kitty flops on ground panting.

  4. I’ve enjoyed having time to sort out the garden – it has always been one of the I’ll get there when i have time things, which hadn’t really happened. I’ve cleared up straggly bits, put in a couple of fruit shrubs and started the prep for a long overdue vegetable patch. Silver lining.

  5. I’ve enjoyed having time to try out new things and find new hobbies. I learned that I love baking – both savory and sweet – and am quite enjoying eating all of the results from it. Last Sunday I tried making a lemon meringue pie for the first time ever and I must say that it turned out quite well ;)

  6. I have enjoyed being able to spend more time with my 4yo and 6yo. Being home with them everyday has been a nice change, and also a chance to spend time with them. Thankfully, the weather where we live has been gorgeous so we have been able to be outside a lot!

  7. Laura Lovejoy- Brunk

Since im an essential working i dont get any “extra time” to enjoy any books or movies, but we have been watching season 3 of Ozark and season 2 of Dead To Me both on Netflix. Both are AMAZING series and worth a watch !

  8. I’m excited and happy that our daughter came into the world safely May 12th. She’s cute as a button. :D

  9. Spent the weekend binge reading the Murderbot series by Martha Wells (instead of binge watching Netflix), am sure glad I only found out about the books when I had all 5 (4 novellas & 1 novel) to read in 1 sitting. That’s what I plan to do when Chaos Reigning comes out

  10. Enjoying taking work meetings as I’m walking. Feel much more focused on what’s being said (not to mention more productive) when I’m not locked in a room I can’t escape

  11. I’ve really enjoyed making a lot of progress on my knitting! I’m working on a pattern that has been on the back of my mind for like 4 years and finally started it in early March. Only 26 rows left!!

  12. Well my mother had a heartattack may the first and because of the corona virus, the visiting was a problem so I had to depand on my “little” sister for al the news. That isn’t good news, but the fifth of may she was able to leave the hospital and I got to see for myself that she is doing as ok as possible.
She stil needs to rest a lot but I’m so glad we didn’t lose her.

  13. I have recently been able to play D&D two times a week over zoom with my friends. We use to only see each other about once a month but with all the extra time we have been able to play together more even if it is not in person. While it is all make believe it feels like I am out of my house whenever we play. :)

  14. I have been seeing my chiropractor each week – and he’s always so upbeat, with questions, concern and helpful ‘joy’ in each visit. I look forward to going not only for my adjustment, but to get a mental ‘pick-me-up’ with some human contact

  15. Kathleen in Kentucky

Call to remind me of a medical appointment! Yes, this may sound weird, but, as it happens, the medical office staff member calling to remind me of an upcoming appointment turned out to be someone I know personally. The “Can you still make this appointment?” inquiry turned into a exceedingly welcome check-up on how both our parents are doing and how our family members are traveling during the pandemic. (Stocking up a cooler with food and beverages for a two-day trip and mapping out travel to make rest [nap] stops every four to six hours turned out to be the recommendations to avoid person-to-person contact.)

  16. Although life has definitely become more complicated in the past few months it is the simpler things that brings the most contentment and joy. A cup of coffee with foamy milk and a book on the back porch is how I start most mornings which I have found makes me happy. Filling the bird feeders also provides a constant changing show as squirrels, birds and ducks battle for the seed.
Anticipation of new books also helps. I (as well as my book club)have been eagerly waiting for Chaos Riegning since last fall. Looking forward to having it in my hands soon!

  17. I am at work in an office. Boss ordered a Sweet Cow Ice Cream Truck for employees to eat as much as they wanted.

  18. I’m enjoying reading and cooking/baking again. I was in a bad slump this year, the worst in my 33 years of knowing how to read due to my grandmother being ill in Jan & Feb (I’m a caretaker) and then Covid-19 completely derailing my life. Thankfully I have my focus back now that I’ve acclimated to this new normal.

I’ve also made new to me dishes from scratch, like pesto, vegan pancakes, and blueberry syrup. Next up are strawberry syrup, aquafaba (vegan egg replacer), and macarons. I also have risotto, home fries, and gingerbread cake on my list to make. :)

  19. I have stumbled into the Soul Summoner Series by Elicia Hyder and have immersed myself into the world of Sloan, Warren and Nathen. I am currently on book 4 of 9 and am enjoying it so very much.

  20. I am enjoying spending more time with my dogs, more connecting with friends who are far away and more time appreciating all that I have to be grateful.

  21. I enjoyed getting to see my parents yesterday. I live alone so lockdown has been hard but once a week I go out and get shopping for myself & both my vulnerable parents. When I drop off their food I get to spend a little time chatting with them (outside at a safe distance) before I head back home. I miss hugs but getting to see them is a lifeline and it makes me feel better when I can see that they’re okay

  22. Oooh giveaways *___*
I wasn’t sure whether this is open to European readers, but if not: still very cool of you to offer the giveaway!

Uhmmm I have enjoyed my YouTube yoga progress and reconnecting with old friends this past few days. It’s great that we have internet, otherwise this time would have been difficult to bear :)

  23. I baked chocolate chip oatmeal cookies today and found that espresso chocolate chips are AMAZING and will forever be on the look out for more chips to use! I highly suggest.

  24. I’m enjoying my first spring of homeownership and gardening, particularly the tulips I planted last fall that have been blooming like mad, plus the birds that show up at my birdfeeder.

  25. Pingback: All of the Chaos Reigning Preorder Bonus Info in One Place… Finally :) – Jessie Mihalik

  26. Playing with my newly adopted cat! Today I set up a bunch of brown paper that came with a package in a pile in the middle of the living room, and she’s chasing the wand toy around it :) She’s really enjoying jumping on the crinkly paper!

  27. I am cooking my favourite pizza a lot. It is not really pizza but It is called coca de cerveza. With a topping of fried onios and bacon!

  28. I know I am years behind but binge watched Westworld season 1 and loved it.
I am holding off on season 2 since I heard it was a let down.

  29. I am loving the K-drama, The King: Eternal Monarch! Kim Eun-sook is such a fantastic writer. I mean, really, who wouldn’t want to watch a witty ass-kicking cop fall in love with a King from a different dimension?

  30. I went hiking with the family at a national park. We got fresh air, spent time together, and got to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
