Chaos Reigning ARC Giveaway!

ARC Flash Giveaway. Enter to win one of three ARCs! Three days only!

Most of my Chaos Reigning ARCs are trapped in the HarperCollins building while all of the employees are working from home. But my lovely editor arranged for a few extras they had on hand to be shipped to me so that I can give them away to you all!

Because it’s so close to release, this is going to be a much shorter giveaway than usual—just three days—and even then you probably won’t receive the book before release. Hopefully the wait will be worth it. :)

See below for details on how to enter, but first, may I tempt you with some delicious preorder bonuses?

Print Preorder Bonus! A picture of the four different bookplate designs as well as the button and bookmark. While supplies last, at participating bookstores.

If you want to support an independent bookstore and get some additional swag, including a bookmark, badass space princess button, and bookplate signed by yours truly, then you can preorder a print copy of CR from The Ripped Bodice, Love’s Sweet Arrow, or Mysterious Galaxy, while supplies last. Last I heard (see below for updates!), they each had about 15-20 preorders remaining, but you can probably contact them if you want to be really sure you’ll get the bonus items.

UPDATE 5/12 4:36PM: The Ripped Bodice is down to less than five, so get your orders in fast!

UPDATE 5/13 3:08PM: Mysterious Galaxy has also agreed to include preorder swag! They have 15-20 preorders remaining!

If you prefer to buy the ebook or the print book elsewhere, I’ve got you, too. I’ll send you a bookmark and sticker, and international readers are included, as long as USPS delivers first class mail to your country. More details later this week!

CHAOS REIGNING cover. A woman with dark, curly hair, in a long leather coat, facing left and holding a blaster. The background is an alien landscape with a planet and two moons in the sky and everything is shaded green-blue.

Interplanetary intrigue and romance combine in this electrifying finale to the Consortium Rebellion trilogy.

As the youngest member of her High House, Catarina von Hasenberg is used to being underestimated, but her youth and flighty, bubbly personality mask a clever mind and stubborn determination. Her enemies, blind to her true strength, do not suspect that Cat is a spy—which makes her the perfect candidate to go undercover at a rival House’s summer retreat to gather intelligence on their recent treachery.

Cat’s overprotective older sister reluctantly agrees, but on one condition: Cat cannot go alone. Alexander Sterling, a quiet, gorgeous bodyguard, will accompany her, posing as her lover. After Cat tries, and fails, to ditch Alex, she grudgingly agrees, confident in her ability to manage him. After all, she’s never found a person she can’t manipulate.

But Alex proves more difficult—and more desirable—than Cat anticipated. When she’s attacked and nearly killed, she and Alex are forced to work together to figure out how deep the treason goes. With rumors of widespread assaults on Serenity raging, communications down, and the rest of her family trapped off-planet, Catarina must persuade Alex to return to Earth to expose the truth and finish this deadly battle once and for all.

But Cat can’t explain why she’s the perfect person to infiltrate hostile territory without revealing secrets she’d rather keep buried…

I started watching Madam Secretary on Netflix and I’m 1/2 way through season 4. LOVING it!! It has put me a bit behind in my reading but you need a break even from that every so often.

  2. Following Kevin Gannon on Twitter has been a joy. His dogs Lulu and Yoshi make me laugh everyday! This from a cat person!

  3. I have had so much time to read AND tackle various projects around the house! It’s great to actually finish everything I wanna get done. 😊

  4. I just finished Network Effect by Martha Wells. It was fantastic! I love Murderbot. Can’t wait for Chaos Reigning!!

Books are helping me escape the stress of staying home. Thank you Jessie!

  5. I’ve been enjoying getting out for walks this week. It feels good to move and I’m sleeping better.

  6. My favorite activity right now is playing Red Dead Redemption 2 Online with my husband. I quite enjoy the hunting, trading, and collecting aspects of it. Not so much for the fighting but that is my husband’s job!

  7. I have enjoyed gardening and doing jigsaw puzzles during my stay at home. And I just binged Making the Cut on Amazon and marveled at what that show’s budget must have been!

  8. I can’t wait for this book to come out, it has been pre-ordered for ages!!

One of the things that I have been enjoying during the shelter in place is the tv show “The Good Witch” honestly shows like this aren’t usually my thing, I love me some badass tough women and when watch fantasy or science fiction I generally like it dark. But with everything so tough lately I just wanted something nice and light and wonderful. And that’s what this show is. The main character Cassie is a “good witch” you generally just see her using her powers to connect people, she might send someone on an errand and that person will just happen to bump into someone who is the perfect person to help them out. It is just incredibly wholesome and lovely. I have binge watched all 4 seasons on netflix.

I highly recommend it if you are looking for something to hit that TV sweet spot

  9. We started watching Harley Quinn on SyFy and are really enjoying it. It’s hilarious and twisted and dark and about friendship.

  10. I don’t know if Canada is different from the USA when it comes to release dates, as I had preordered your book here in Canada. I had a message from Chapters last week that your book is in the mail. According to the tracking number at the Canada Post website, it’ll be here tomorrow.
    Life is good eh.
    :-)

  11. I’ve really been enjoying getting back into the Legend of Zelda after starting Breath of the Wild! It’s been so nice!

  12. Been playing Adventure Academy with my daughter. There isn’t much we both like doing together video game wise but the game is catchy and it’s nice having simple low stakes arguments over which shoes the avatar should wear.

  13. Patti (@thelovejunkee)

I ordered myself some bookish candles (candle names like “Rainy Day Reads” and “Gatsby’s Mansion”) and I LOVE them. I never ordered them previously because they’re not cheap but I did a quarantine impulse buy and I’m so glad I did :) (Also, I preordered the audiobook and cannot wait until it drops into my phone!!!)

  14. I’ve been enjoying the family time! We are normally so busy with sports, this has given us a chance to reconnect with our teens! Forced togetherness :)

  15. I’ve been working on my quilting learning how to do a better job piecing it altogether. Trying to not let it stress me if something is off kilter. 😁

  16. I’ve been watching the NHL Vegas Knights every night. They are replaying previous games. And on the plus side, they are only broadcasting the games that they won!

  17. I started the empress games serie by rhonda mason, and watching vagrant queen. Thanks to you now i’m hooked to space opera books filled with badass women since i read rogue queen last year. Thank you for the space trip. Invisible hugs from France.

  18. I recently celebrated my niece’s graduation from college, class of 2020, woohoo!! Although the ceremonies were cancelled, my sister had a very small party (just my niece, my siblings, and me) while we attended a mini on-line commencement (i.e., viewed via the internet). We had food, cake, and champagne, and we also took some pics with my niece with her wearing her graduation cap. :-)

  19. Katherine E Adamson

I’m enjoying having my cat on my lap while reading. It’s my zen space, and right now that space and time is precious.

  20. I discovered a facebook page devoted to a New Zealand cat named Mittens, who wanders around his town visiting businesses and homes. Everyone posts pics of their Mittens encounters. An entirely positive site that is a nice antidote to the news.

  21. Whoo ho! Can’t wait for CR! I recently discovered Megan Whalen Turner’s Queen’s Thief series and am in love. They’ve been an escape over the last few weeks.

  22. Currently reading and enjoying Beach Read by Emily Henry. It’s everything I need right this second in my fiction. I just wish I could do nothing else but read it all day. : )
Also, loving Some Good News, John Krasinski’s YouTube show. It really lifts my day up every time I see it. Plus, if you’re an Office fan you must check it out.

  23. The Last Kingdom is back on Netflix… season four! For those of you who haven’t yet watched this series you are in for a treat. A fabulous historic drama set in the days of King Alfred with Vikings, Saxons, and more…. based on the novels by Bernard Cornwell. Gorgeous hero, feisty heroines, great action scenes… it’s got it all.

  24. I’ve been looking for hummingbirds but haven’t seen any. They should have arrived at my house 2 weeks ago if previous years experience prove true. Finally went ahead and just hung up my feeders Friday, saw a female Ruby Throated at one feeder on Sunday, got it on my camera on Monday. Put out dog hair in an onion bag to see if they use it as nesting material. The wee one that I’ve seen is puzzled by my offering, and, as this is the 1st year I’m attempting to up my game, am not sure if they understand what it is. I had a drink to their arrival! Am enjoying the small hummingbirds visiting my feeder so much!

  25. I think I’ve watched every single rom com movie and detective show on prime and Netflix and am on my way to doing the same with Hulu.
Also, it’s possible I realized that I’m not built for isolation.

Hmmm… I’m enjoying looking forward to being outside regularly again. And to the book release!
    Thank you.

  26. When in not watching Booba with my son, I’ve been watching and enjoying Legacies. I just finished it last night and think I’m going to hop on the Leverage train or rewatch The Last Kingdom. As for reading, I just finished Almost Heaven by Judith McNaught and loved it. Now I’m going to jump into a paranormal series that was recommended to me at least until Chaos Reigning comes out. ;)

  27. Okay, so, first, yay, giveaway! Second – I have literally been at my desk at work all day feeling incredibly excited about the fact that today was the release day for Chaos Reigning and it would be waiting for me in my Kindle library when I got home. To say I am crushed is an understatement – serves me right for not double-checking!

As far as something I’ve enjoyed lately – we had a few years of chaos (oh, hey, Chaos Reigning, as it were, ha) with getting our old house ready to put on the market, selling it, then finding/renovating our new house before finally moving in, and I never seemed to get around to pulling out my guitar during all of it. I finally had a long weekend off from work in April and downloaded the Amped app after reading that they were offering 3 months free due to the coronavirus stay-at-home orders. It has been so much fun to pick up my guitar again and actually practice regularly (the app has made my practice time focused and intentional, which is really nice) – I’ve brushed up on old skills, filled in skill gaps, and learned new stuff and it’s become something I look forward to every day.

  28. I am teaching on-line and making bread! I’ve had two of my adult children move home for now so I have lots of willing recipe testers.

  29. I just watched the Blue Angels flyover the Indy Hospitals to honor frontline workers—it gave me the good chills!

  30. I’ve enjoyed watching classic movies on TCM and re-watching Futurama, reading e-books (since I’m eagerly awaiting the re-opening of my library) and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. Looking forward to Chaos Reigning, especially since I share a birthday. ;)

  31. I’ve been enjoying some lovely naps and getting back into knitting, also did a puzzle for the first time in years. Thanks for the giveaway, can’t wait to read CR!

  32. We took advantage of a 30 day free trial to streaming service CBS.com and became hooked on “Star Trek: Discovery”. So so good! You got me CBS – now the tables have turned and it’s “take my money but please keep it coming!”

  33. I finally had time to organize my tea cabinet so now I can grab the tea I want in record time! The best part was finding an extra stash of my favorite tea blend :)

  34. I’m loving the Ilona Andrews Ryder installments! I love when authors do stories in installments, it’s something I always look forward to. I love it because I essentially get to experience it twice, once in the installments and then again when it’s published. So far I only know of you, Penny Reid and Ilona Andrews who do this, so any recommendations are welcome!

  35. This past week, I discovered The Others series by Anne Bishop- it’s adult urban fantasy with some violence and swears (no sex). All the books are ou, and it’s such a great series! I’m reading the last one now :)

  36. My family just got chickens! I’ve been enjoying getting to know them. They are so funny to watch! And also enjoying the fresh eggs. :)

  37. Fan in California

Since I’ve been working at home I have been walking at a local nature preserve. Watching and listening to the various birds and seeing the different creatures helps bring a real sense of peace and perspective to my day. Nature keeps going despite what is happening in the human world.

  38. I am binge watching Grey’s Anatomy. I was only going to watch it up to Issie leaving the show but then I am enjoying it so much I am hooked again. Love your books, thanks.

  39. There is a tiny animal farm close to where I live. I pass it as few times a day. They have horses, chubby lil ponies, goats, and sheep in the large enclosure where they graze that can be seen from the road. There is one small tree next to the fence by that road. Happiness is seeing the insane puppy pile of small creatures all trying to enjoy a nap in the tiny spot of shade there around noon. Baby goats and sheep have no shame or concept of personal space (limbs everywhere!), but the small ponies try to cuddle in there, too, pressing in on the edges, determined not to be left out. It’s the most adorable thing ever, but also exceedingly ridiculous when the pile is five wide and three deep and still trying to climb on top of one another. To be clear there are other spots of shade to be found. They just seem to REALLY like this one and squeeze together into a fluffy chimera mass of cuteness and pass out there for a couple of hours every day. No matter how I’m feeling before I drive by, seeing them always brightens my day significantly.

I’m not too proud to admit that I want to be in that pile, too. I just want to pinch all their cheeks, ruffle their hair/fur, babble baby talk, and tell each of my fluffy babies how much I love them until a rancher shoos me away.

And….. that’s why I read so much. I’m just not fit to be out in public more than absolutely necessary. 😂

  40. During this time I have very much enjoyed the company of my two dogs. They are very comforting. They love so unconditionally.

  41. At the end of Summer 2019 I was ready for my 2 college students to GO BACK. Then by the holidays I was ready to have them home again. Needless to say, I was practically pushing them out of the house at the end of break. When they returned home after the colleges were closed in March I was worried I’d go stark raving mad (my older daughter actually brought a friend home to quarantine with us). We went from empty nesting to a family of 5. It took some adjusting, but much to my surprise I have come to enjoy having the house full. Combination of feeling they’re safe at home and some socialization whilst we all stay home. Pleasantly surprised.

  42. I’ve recently joined Kindle Unlimited and am enjoying finding new authors to read for free! I’m currently reading Nathan Lowell’s Trader tales series. Highly recommended to anyone who enjoys a good coming of age space opera story.

  43. Just one more week to wait for Cats adventure 🤗
My favourite positive side-effects of the whole situation is that my Nia Trainer is doing online classes so I get to dance with her and other people worldwide in my home.

  44. I’ve been re-reading Grace Burrowes’ True Gentleman series (books 1-8) which I find to be perfect comfort reads right now. RJ Blain’s Grave Humor released today so that is next on my list.

  45. I’ve enjoyed plotting my Escape From NY once the lockdown lifts! NYC is stuck until at least June 7th. But my fave thing is my 1 hr outside each day – going for my walk to tend to the feral cat colony, feed some birds and pick up any supplies needed at home. I’m organized to the nth degree now. Put calendar reminders on for all my fave authors book releases. I already pre-ordered CR and am looking forward to having it in my hot little hands. Thanks for writing it :)

  46. I finally have a six-pack of white tshirts, which means I can really go to town with my tie-dye kit and I AM DRUNK ON THE POWER! Like, Louise-Belcher-cackling-in-front-of-a-wall-of-fire drunk on the power.

  47. I am excited that you are partnering with The Ripped Bodice! I discovered this bookstore a couple weeks before the lockdown and thought it was adorable. They have a cute “Blind Date with a book” program where the books are wrapped in wrapping paper with a 1-2 sentence blurb.

Other than that my life has mainly been working and knitting.

  48. Hi Jessie, I love your story worlds and characters!
Started HIIT workouts! An accomplishment for someone who never takes the time out to exercise and is a tiny tiny bit scared of it :)

  49. So, this will sound weird, but I’ve enjoyed not having to get up and put make-up on for work. I still have conference calls, no video conferences.

  50. Just finished RJ Blain’s Grave Humor (came out this morning). Fun read and interesting characters. Looking for to Chaos Reigning!

  51. I’ve started learning to paint with watercolors! I’ve found it to be quite relaxing to turn on some music or an audiobook and listen while I paint. Still a lot to learn, but I’m enjoying it.

  52. Colleen Champagne

What what I am enjoying now is reading new books that I probably wouldn’t have read if I didn’t have all this time on my hands to look for new and interesting. Martha Wells comes to mind. Murderbot!!

  53. Lately, I’ve really enjoyed playing online games and chatting with friends. Though the pandemic has cut off physical nearness for a lot of people, I’ve always been a homebody and this world event has brought everyone I enjoy spending time with home as well. It’s nice jumping into some Fortnite with distant friends, or talking about Pokemon GO, or some other cool game someone is playing with people while they’re living the quarantine life at home. People are generally very busy, and it’s been nice to slow things down and get back in touch. If only it wasn’t under these circumstance that’d be great, but sometimes you have to make lemonade out of the lemons from the tree that fell on your house — you know?

  54. I’ve enjoyed several books lately. In truth, this is no different than any other time, pandemic or no, but those books work so well as a distraction right now. Network Effect by Martha Wells and the audiobook of Doing Time by Jodi Taylor are the latest. Both are great!

  55. Hello! Thank you for this giveaway, I’m super excited for Chaos Reigning (like everyone here I guess). Hope everything and everyone is okay on your side.
Lately, I’ve been into Spanish tv shows such as Alta Mar and Las Chicas del Cable which is a great way to make progress on my spanish! Also, I’m done with my semester so reading time!! And since my birthday is coming, I convinced myself that it was a great opportunity for (online) shopping ^^
    🤞🏼

  56. Kathryn Louise Moran

I have enjoyed binge watching The Last Kingdom, also binge watching The Great British Bakings show (both on Netflix) and watching lectures from the Great Courses on Anglo Saxon England.

  57. I just finished reading The Queen of Sorrow (book 3 in the Queens of Renthia series). This is such a good fantasy series, and the last book brought everything to a very satisfying conclusion. If you ever wanted more heroine moms in fiction, and/or multiple powerful queens who all have their own strengths and weaknesses and competing goals, I highly recommend this series.

  58. Stuck at home for almost two month with two kids proved to stressful for most hobbies (even book reading suffered), but I really enjoyed watching some teen flicks on Netflix. “The half of it” and “Never have I ever” were wonderful and really made me smile and laugh out loud

  59. I ordered a bright purple inflatable sofa that arrived yesterday. I am finding that it is a lot harder to inflate than advertised (you’re supposed to just sort of wave it around and fill it with air, hah) but I was able to get it at least partially inflated yesterday. Looking forward to lounging in my yard today while re-reading Mary Balogh’s Bedwyn saga.

Really looking forward to Chaos Reigning! I re-read the first two (with the Rogue Queen novellas thrown in for good measure) last week in preparation of CR’s release. I feel like I’ve been boinging up and down ever since in anticipation 😄.

  60. Our hummingbirds have been very busy this season so there’s always something to watch at the feeder. On TV, after long ago exhausting all Great British and Great Australian Bake-off episodes, we recently discovered the Great Canadian Baking Show so we are binging our way through that. We also fell in love with the Great British Pottery Throwdown – it’s absolutely amazing what these talented potters can create.

Thanks so much for this giveaway and best wishes on the release. I can’t wait to read Chaos Reigning!

  61. Oh, I’m so excited for the release! I’m actually only managing to read ongoing series, I’ve just not had the head for any books or tv shows. It’s all piling up horribly. So, I’ve turned to games, at least my head can focus on them. I’ve finally gathered the courage to finish my current walkthrough of Dragon Age: Inquisition, and I’m also spending hours buried on The Sims 4, working through every single possible game option to make my completionist heart happy.

  62. I have a pair of ospreys living in the empty lot next door. One of the best things about this new working from home life has been watching them build their nest and hatch their chicks (2 this year).

  63. I’m enjoying John Krasinki’s SGN videos, especially the latest one with The Office cast dancing! Love it!

  64. I’ve been enjoying spending time with my boyfriend (and his dog and 4yo daughter) – we both travel for work and since we can’t do that right now, we’ve been able to spend a lot more time together. We’ve been watching a lot of Letterkenny and Star Trek!

  65. Recently I’ve been enjoying re-reading your books in anticipation of the third one :) but I maybe should have saved it until two days before the release date because now I am overhyped eith a week to go! Uf:)

  66. I’m furloghed from my library and it’s been a mixed blessing. I’m laying next to my napping 3 year old right now and about to watch the Parks and Rec special so that’s pretty awesome! I started a new Bookstagram to get all my librarian energy out and it’s been really heartening getting to know that community. I also LOVE watching the live Instagram talks that authors are giving in abundance now. Would you consider having a talk on Insta for the release? I just love your characters and the world that you have created and I can’t wait to read Chaos Reigning! Also super stoked to read your next novella.

  67. I’m a homebody so this has been heaven for me! I’ve already been full-time WFH for several years, but the fact that I no longer have to make up excuses to turn down invitations for things is the best!!

  68. I’m enjoying staying at a friends’ house. I’ve moved in with them and their 4 year old son because I was struggling on my own.

We still managed to celebrate the bank holiday with a BBQ, cream tea and paddling pool for the little one.

  69. Due to giving up my vegetable garden (necksurgery) I made some changes around my home to get all of the berriebushes and the very small pond( more a large bucket of water) into my backyard. It has no frogs in it yet, but hopefully they will return.
To make it a bit more special I got a solarpowered fountain pump for mothersday which fits perfectly. I am over the moon with this little piece of paradise.

  70. I has a social distanced pizza date (outside) with a few friends over the weekend and I feel like a new person. Zoom chats and phone calls are great, but there is something magical about being with people you love and laughing together that just makes you feel normal!

  71. Besides reading, I have become hooked on ‘The Masked Singer’ because some of the contestants are fabulous singers +/or dancers, and it’s fascinating to see which Emmy winning singer or other celebrity is unmasked each week. On a completely different note, my daughter and I have been binge-watching ‘Vikings’.

  72. I have been reading the Ice Planet Barbarian series for some fun escapism reading! Plus spending more time with my pups! ♡

  73. I’ve really enjoyed having more time to run in the evenings while it’s still light – I’m training for a half marathon!

  74. My Quarantine has been all about the books.
I reread Ilona Andrews Hidden Legacy series, Thea Harrisons Elder Races series, and of course Polaris Rising and Aurora Blazing.
    Next will be Patricia Briggs.
And my house is a mess! (Why clean when noone can visit? ;) )

    1. Oh my gosh I love that! I honestly have been a little stressing about the lack of cleaning. Everyone I’ve zoomed or texted with I feel like has been talking about all the projects they are getting done around the house, but honestly I don’t have the mental energy for that.

So I think I’m going to take this approach, why worry when no one is coming over to see it anyways?

  75. I’ve enjoyed having some time to myself to read and binge watch shows I’ve had in my Netflix and Amazon Prime queue.

  76. As a Mother’s Day surprise, my daughters and I drove an hour and a half to my Stepmother’s house, stopping only to get food at a restaurant that we all go to together. We rang her doorbell and she was definitely surprised. We all drove separately to her community garden, I backed my SUV up to her driver side and open the hatch. We spent three hours eating talking and laughing in person for the first time in months. She said it was the best Mother’s Day gift she had ever had in her life.

  77. Jennifer Marchisotto

I have really enjoyed working through book recommendations from co-workers. So far they have included Night Pleasures by Sherrilyn Kenyon, The Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams, and Lost Stars by Claudia Gray. Next up will either be The Ten-Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow or Pride Prejudice and Other Flavors by Sonali Dev.

  78. I’ve recently started watching What We Do In The Shadows on Hulu. Great show, and super hilarious. I loved the movie and so far the show hasn’t disappointed. Just what’s needed right now!

  79. I am enjoying the opportunity to spend more time with my brother. He and his cats moved back into my family’s house for the Quarantine, and while he is working from home there’s still plenty of time to hang out.

  80. I realize that this will sound like i’m only trying to win the contest but I have actually been enjoying the Consortium Rebellion series. I just finished rereading Aurora Blazing today. I wanted to refresh my memory on all of the details before the new book came out. I really like the Von Hassenberg siblings and how they support each other. It will be interesting to read a story from Catarina’s point of view. To me Ada and Bianca were wonderful but different types of heroines and I can’t wait to see how Catarina handles her adventures.

  81. Spending time with my kids and not always having to be on the go shuttling from activity to activity.

  82. I recently found time to assemble a bookshelf that I’ve had for a while. As I’ve been sorting my books, I’ve really enjoyed re-reading them too! I even put together a few for my cousin to read, and I can’t wait to be able to discuss them with him!

  83. I’ve been enjoying playing with plants and seeds! We currently have freeze warnings, but per the forecast it looks like I’ll finally get to plant the garden Thursday!

  84. I’ve been wondering where they are, since I reviewed your first two in the series for Fresh Fiction but havent seen the book 3 ARC up for grabs.

I’ve been enjoying extra desserts these days, quite honestly 😂🍰

  85. Been playing a home scavenger game with some friends and friends of friends on WhatsApp. It’s one item a day and people tell stories if it’s an interesting or funny story. We did an item in your house that’s older than you are one day, and it yielded some cool things. It’s really a good game to get to know people even better and pass some time doing something fun everyday :)

  86. Before this craziness started, I saw the new Emma. movie in theaters and had an absolutely delightful time. The visuals, acting, script, everything fit together in such an enjoyable way. Despite the theater run being cut short due to COVID-19, I hope the movie brings joy to as many people as possible via streaming.

  87. I’ve really enjoyed my work from home commute 😂 it’s also been really lovely having my dog with me all day!

  88. I’ve been enjoying the warmer weather we’ve had in Minnesota, finally. I may not GO anywhere, but at least I can walk around the neighborhood, maintaining a proper distance from everyone else who is doing the same thing.

  89. These past months with the pandemic, my life seems to have become hectic. I think I’m probably the only one in my building who is going to work every morning. Long, long hours and exhaustion is taking its toll. I need a vacation soon!

  90. Recently I’ve just moved back to my apartment in Boston. My cousin lives nearby and she’s my best friend, so we went for socially distanced walks with my pup and our facemasks. It’s nice to just be able to be outdoors and I’m loving the nature parts of the city. My favorite thing is getting to drink my coffee on my balcony in the morning before I teach virtually. I love working for my school and miss my students and co-workers so much. Last week we celebrated teacher appreciation week with a virtual trivia night and my team won!! It was amazing and I enjoyed the laughter so much. Can’t wait for more days of laughter!

  91. Love your writing and am looking forward to this book! I’ve enjoyed spending time with my 4yr old nephew-first time I’ve been able to spend more than 2 weeks with him as he lives on the other side of the world from me but we’ve been stuck together due to the pandemic.
Wishing you (and everyone on here) all the best in getting through all this!

  92. I eecently enjoyed a knitting hang out over Zoom with one Of my friends. Almost as good as being in the same room.
