Thank You!

Yesterday was amazing! I tried to keep up with everyone on social media, but if I missed you, I apologize. It got a little crazy there for a bit. Thank you for being so excited about Polaris Rising. You all made my day!

Last night, Mr. Mihalik and I ventured out to our local Barnes & Noble to see if we could find a copy in the wild. And we did! It was right in the front, in the new releases in paperback section. Behold the face of pure joy:

Me in B&N pointing at Polaris Rising.
Who has two hands and is bad at pointing at things? This lady! :)

After a stellar day yesterday, I woke up to the news that Polaris Rising had a shiny new badge on Amazon this morning:

#1 New Release in Science Fiction Adventures

Look at that #1 New Release in Science Fiction Adventures badge! I don’t know how long it’s going to stick around, but I totally took a screenshot because that’s going in my keeper file. :) Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who bought a copy or requested it from the library or just geeked out with me over the release!

And, as a reminder, don’t forget that I have a book signing THIS SATURDAY afternoon at BookPeople in Austin.

If you already read Polaris Rising and decided it’s a keeper and you need a signed copy, BookPeople can hook you up. Same if you read it and decided it’s so bad you want to see my signature burn (but do please be careful and have a fire extinguisher standing by). 😉

Thank you once again. You all are the best! 🥰

  1. Happy book birthday :D I’ve just finished reading, I actually started this morning aaand read it all in pretty much one sitting (perks of being on a sick leave!). Bonus points for reading in my second language AND with a slight fever haha. That’s how unputdownable it was~ I must admit Loch is not my favorite main hero type, I prefer my male leads a little less growly and manhandle-y, but the story won me over and by the end of the book I actually found him so swoon-worthy and endearing I was disappointed Ada&Loch won’t be main leads in the next one :( I’m hoping for more House politics and ballroom scheming/secret trading in Aurora Blazing, that’s my favorite kind of plot :)

  2. Congratulations for polaris rising release
I’ve finished reading the book, it was an epic adventure. I’m not a huge fan of sci-fi but ‘the queen’s gambit’ change my mind, i can’t wait for your next books. Can’t wait to read you in french ,my native language 😉

  3. Really enjoying the book! Great classic space opera. I’m so happy to find new books that remind me of my favorite old school books. Thanks for a great read!

  4. I absolutely loved the book ! I read it once, then re-read some final moments. Then remembered some moments I liked at beginning, re-read them, then went “omg haven’t told her how much I appreciated her!” And now seeing comments and all… I think I’ll just re-read the whole book.
Honestly, I knew I was gonna like it because I like the way you write (if that makes any sense for anyone outside my head). Though I never thought I was gonna like it so much. Every character has a little something, they are all good at something, there are strong female characters. They are all strong, cunning and kind… I think it’s what Loch says (more or less) and he’s right. So many interesting things about the characters and I also found the book surprising. I didn’t think there would be so many developments in it (does that make sense?) Different situations (plots into THE plot?) Sorry, I already struggle to put words on my feeling in French so in English… Even harder 😂
Anyway, I loved your book, can’t wait for anything you’ll do next. Thank you so much for all your hard work and congratulation for your first release ! 😊
Sending positive vibes your way ~~~
